Manchu was born in the misty mountains of China, where the rich culinary heritage of his village sparked his early passion for cooking. As a young monkey, his family moved to Yokohama, Japan, where they opened a small but popular noodle shop.
Being originally from the mountains, Manchu loves hiking in the scenic regions around Yokohama and Kyoto. He uses these excursions to reconnect with nature, gather wild edible plants, and find inspiration for his culinary creations.
Mei Mei was also born in the mountainous regions of China, in a village close to Manchu’s. Her family moved to Kyoto, Japan, when she was very young, where they started a charming tea house that quickly became a local favorite.
Mei Mei is deeply interested in the art of traditional tea ceremonies. She regularly participates in and sometimes hosts tea ceremony gatherings, which allow her to explore the cultural depth of her teas and share this passion with others.
